In our new series, Who Do You Think You Are?, I shared with you that according to God’s script, we are stewards of God’s creation. His intention for us is to exercise stewardship, oversight of His creation. Genesis 2:15 tells us we are to serve and care for His creation; to watch over, keep and protect it. A key part of our stewardship is the advancement of His Kingdom around the world. That’s the reason we have Work & Witness opportunities and projects like the recently collected Crisis Care Kits. Sunday is our ‘Faith Promise Sunday;’ a day specifically devoted to the mission endeavors of the Church of the Nazarene around the world. We are blessed to have Rev. Rob North as our guest speaker. Rob currently serves as Director of University Advancement at Africa Nazarene University, in Nairobi, Kenya where he has the privilege of working with Work & Witness teams, volunteers, visiting professors and professionals who come offering helping hands at the university.
I know we will be energized by his stories and motivated to participate. This is a designated time where we have the opportunity to make a financial commitment to the ongoing support of missions, both locally and globally. I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
Sunday evening, 6pm, Pastor Julie will conclude the series on The Battle Plan for Prayer.
