Humans are a forgetful bunch. We forget appointments. We forget birthdays. We forget where we put our keys. When was the last time you got home from the grocery store satisfied that you remembered everything? We forget. Unless. Unless someone has hurt us, or injured us or caused us pain in some way. Those are things we hold onto. We allow experiences to enslave us into living as victims.
I find that we Christians tend to forget who we are as children of the King of kings and Lord of lords. I find that for the all the provision God has given, we settle too often into behaving more like peasants than spiritual royalty.
