Chapter 8: Jesus had His disciples in the boat where they experienced a number of power encounters.
Chapter 9: Jesus had His disciples get out of the boat to activate their faith.
Peter, John and James went with him and went up onto a mountain to pray, v. 28.

Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus, v. 30.
They spoke of his departure, v. 31; The New Exodus.
Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters, v. 33.
A cloud appeared and enveloped them, vs. 34-36.
This is a unique glimpse into the relationship between God, the Father and God, the Son.
The impact of this moment on the disciples and on us, provides us with the courage and encouragement to face the dark times
that lie ahead.
We are a part of the New Exodus which brought us out of slavery and death and is leading us into our inheritance in Him, which
is a present reality with future promises yet to be realized.
